Shameless Beauty (revised)

“Shameless Beauty”

Bloom endlessly
In tufted rainbow
Hues of you
With life
Its sight
More light

Your saturation suffuses
Your abundance bears
Your love inhabits the air

Be Beauty unwieldy
To their pluck
Their dares
To fuck
How can they?
What is not theirs?
What is not loose?

These petals
Command the wind
And rise the tides
No time
To stop
Your rains
Drink shadows
Into golden locks

Your bloom made the sun
Devour it, my Sweet,
It is yours and no one’s.

This poem continues to evolve. I suppose it is a reflection of my own journey with beauty still shedding its shadow into light. When I first wrote it, I was defending beauty— the right to shine in spite. But now, my gaze has turned inward— to the one who hid for so long. May she (in me and in you) bloom with the fullness of life unfettered.
