Summer Solstice Invitation

Happy Summer Solstice everyone!

This image reminds me of a cherished painting of my abuelita, Madre Sarita. It depicted the Eye of Providence with the all-seeing eye radiating within a pyramid. (Do you see the eye here?!) I loved that painting and spent hours meditating upon it.

For me, it represented the eye of the dreamer—mine and that of the divine infinite—and it opened my spiritual eyes to see beyond form and into the universal light that inhabits us all. It also brought me into that reminder that 'God is watching us', not to oversee our obedience to it but to offer its obedience to us.

Just as I perceive the divine, the divine perceives me. It listens to my prayers, my yearnings, to my faith and to my doubt. It listens and it responds, instantaneously, with the wisdom of intuitions, messages, or a call to action that I must meet. However, wherever, whenever, we all are in constant communication with the divine, whether we 'believe' or not.

In the Toltec tradition, we all come from the light of the Sun. We each have our very own ray of light that brings us into being and informs us throughout our evolution. This light carries the 'silent knowledge'— the wordless wisdom of the divine that guides us in every moment.

So my invitation to you on this Summer Solstice is to connect and to listen...

Connect to your ray of light, open the eye of the dreamer within you, and allow yourself to be witnessed by the divine. Turn yourself inside-out to it. Let it see the depths of your heart's desires—your faith and your doubt—and then await the magic.

The manifest may come silently and in time, but it will come. For God is watching you and is so willing to meet you right where you are, ready to open that door you ponder.
