Angels Fall Into Me

Angels Fall Into Me
Chime the winds Dangled with treasures— Glass gems, sunken love-letters. Now sing, these wings Plucked from the sea, And fly their dreams through me, Through Dawn’s break —kissed awake— Blushing her refrain, Through heartbeats And city streets Slicked with rain, Through sidewalk stories —the faded glories— Of shipwrecked men. Angels fallen Falling Into me. -------Not sure this poem is done but I felt like sharing it anyway. It began with an entirely different intent....

Infinity Reaching

Infinity Reaching
This depth, This Ocean, It knows not Of end, Of time’s Beating heart. It bleeds for me. It reaches across This table I set, This story I claim, This name. It spills my cup And runs up— Wards discharged Words unarmed— Defenseless. And yet Gravity’s pull, The roll Of this wave, Bows and bends To find its way— The hollowed cave, The swallowed grave Of swirling tides Beseeched. I reach To the moon’s...

Into Love’s Deep

Into Love’s Deep
RememberingLove’s communionThe breath unseenOf ancestors mournedNew lineages adornedA father at peaceA son rebornMothers’ medicine wovenInto dreams to be wornAnd raised on the trillOf a little girl’s delight“Happy Birthday!”The blessing took flightAnd from eyes in witnessOf two into oneSealed with a kissTheir walk long begunFar from the shallowNow So much love on this wedding day of my dear sister, Melissa, and newfound brother, Chris. This was the fourth wedding I have had the honor of...

Kisses Upon my Soul

Kisses Upon my Soul
I catch the moments.I fall upon themAnd let them fall into me. Beyond my gazeOn the familiar,The expected,The sight fixed on my day,There they are—Imprints of Life,Kissing my Soul.

Confession

Confession
Confession: I am divine and I am human. I am all of it. I am woman. I am little girl. I am sex. I am purity. I am none of it. I am infinite in finite envelopes with names and places assigned. But what is my address? Who do you address in this dress, these shoes that stumble that sparkle that carry me home somehow, again, awake and wanting him and Him, human...

Patchwork Quilt: Part 3: Meditation

Patchwork Quilt: Part 3: Meditation
Imagine...your life as a patchwork quilt...spread out before you... spread out within you... every moment of your life... and each version of You within them... child unborn and child emerged... teenager uncertain and rebelled... adult assured and then felled... victim, survivor, lover of love... guardian, elder, and spirit returned... all together... here, now... connected as one continuous being... one heart... one soul... one You... to love, to honor, to be. Imagine them all...

Two into One

Two into One
“Two into One” Moonlit strangersDawn endangersTwo cups spilt Winter chimedWings alignedTwo coins laid Songs spunPrayers undoneTwo tears drop Empty dayDreams a wayTwo flowers fly Moonlit strangersDawn endangersTwo into one I wanted to share one of my recent poems with you all. It is an ode to duality, I suppose— a profession of love and a tale of our affair. Duality is not something we escape exactly. It is natural... when it is natural....

The Death of Prince Charming (repost)

The Death of Prince Charming (repost)
In today's society, the search for true love often trumps the search for God but each is a worthy quest that, with the right map, will bring you to the same place— you. I struggled for years in my relationships with men and with God. Though I was raised to be an independent and self-sufficient woman, I secretly sought completion. I pushed and I pulled on their love— the part of me that...

Shameless Feminine

Shameless Feminine
“Shameless Feminine” Beloved, I come to you now,Pulled by your sleeping scarlet dreams,Your flowers of yearning,Your earth’s turning, That I may reach into this vessel —Beyond feast of ghost and Pain possessing pleasure— And bend my love into you, Become your trestle, Till you rise upon my kisses And your light breaks only into dawn— Never a slave To their empty grave No more. - Rh

True Love

True Love
True Love ridesOn the whispers of old winds, Down long-forgotten roads of forever, Through candlelit towns And snow-covered castles. Oh, my Prince,I must bury you now In this cracked earthof my heart. For in its chambers There sleeps a new love. Your death bringsHer awakening.

Surrender

Surrender
I can no longer linger here, For the tide is pulling me Away from this island of illusion. I awake in dark, holding myself. I awake in light, falling through wind. Surrender looks not to where she might land, But whispers to Infinity, sweet nothings.

Dissolution

Dissolution
Softened by the heat of the sun, I flow down this mountain side. Yearning for my re-union with You, I surrender to your heat, your fire; And it lifts me, that I soar invisible, Only to fall once again upon this Earth as rain wearing away her soils. Dissolve me from this earthbound grasp, That I may become one with You, That I may reach beyond this vessel of my experience, Beyond feast...

Whispering Circles

Whispering Circles
A forest deer greets the morning sun. Today her blood will spill; the hunt has begun. But death or birth, who is to say. Life's just passing through. In the wind, she rides once again, Whispering circles down to you. From her heart, a Siren's song of truth That carried the seed that she planted in you. "Open your eyes", she said, "and gaze through me, Through me and into you." For in...

Invitation

Invitation
We're two hearts beating, Two souls meeting, In the breath of a love unknown. We could dance in this moment; It could be forever. Our love only sleeps for its pleasure. So lay down your laws Or forget your cause; This love is constant in surrender. Resurrect softly, my Love,  And shed your bones at the door. Love shall be your maker.
